Doody Free Girl is the premiere colonic center to open in Downtown Jersey City this past spring. Colon cleansing helps speed up detoxification and keeps stagnant metabolisms running efficiently especially as we transition to a hibernating season.
Jen Gonzalez, the Doody Free Girl, specializes in gravity-fed colon hydrotherapy, also known as gravity colonics. Gravity colonics are unique in that they are the most gentle and natural, yet effective available method of colon cleansing. Jen does not employ a pressurized machine (another common method of colonics), but instead uses an elevated tank of ultra-filtered water, which allows gravity to pull water into the body, while drawing toxic fecal matter out of the body. The treatment is about an hour long. You will leave feeling lighter and more energized as your body will no longer be bogged down by energy-depleting waste!
Jen shares her favorite, easy, digestion-friendly salad recipe to keep your digestive tracts happy. She learned this tasty recipe from one of her health mentors and it has become a staple dinner in her diet.
Tom’s Raw Salad
- 1 head of organic kale
- 1 avocado (organic optional)
- Lime juice of 1/2 lime (organic optional)
- Organic Dulse (seaweed found in health food store)
- Herbamare or Tocomare(found near the sea salt at any health food store)
- Organic Onion Powder
- Organic Garlic Powder
- Organic Cayenne Pepper
- Organic Oregano
Chop kale and use salad spinner to rinse and dry well. Put kale into a large bowl. Cut the avocado in half and discard pit. Score the avocado halves right in the shells and spoon out right on top of the kale. Pour the lime juice on top of the avocado. Generously season the entire salad with the rest of the ingredients. Add a mountain of Dulse (rich in minerals!). Mix well and enjoy!Written by Jen Gonzalez
