The Bee I See is Me

The bee I see is me.

One whirring in a sea of many

About to jump off the edge of what’s known

Desiring to freely flow and glow

Moments away from creating forceful ripples into the air and sea

Wondering if many will resist and judge how I buzz

Undeterred by how frightening the hum of others could turn

I go deep to choose my own tune to buzz.

With my voice I take an uncommon stand

Filled with thanks for the special power given to me

Knowing there is only one me vibrating out into the sea as me

I let go and jump

Trusting my wings will allow me to fly

Guiding me to be the bee I was sent here to be.
